Practical Fellowship with God and with man

Practical Fellowship with God and with man – Pastor Ronnie, FGA

Fellowship denotes koionia, communion, closeness, friendship.

10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Ephesians 6:10

In a warfare passage, Paul stresses the importance of being close to God!

29For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. Romans 8:29

We are destined to be in God’s family, brothers and sisters with our Lord!
4Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. John 15:4
We must remain close to our Lord, that He may remain close to us. Only then can we bear fruit!
11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
God wants the best for us!
God referred to Abraham as His friend. In regard to Sodom, God said “shall I not tell my friend?
Exodus 33 shows how Moses sought to have really close fellowship with the Lord, and as he spent time with God, His Shikena glory could be seen on his face.
There are 33000 promises on the Bible, but they are conditional. Without faith, it is impossible to seek God! King David was a man after God’s own heart. He was a true worshipper of God. David did all he could to help Solomon build the temple!
Abraham, Moses and David, three men who were really close to God, were also three men who turned the world upside down!
The greatest form of prayer is Relationship! In Christ we are a new creation! We need more of God, have entire dependence on God! Our baggage is too heavy for us. It is a blessed art in learning to wait on God. It is not a science!

18And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect[a] the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:18
In the presence of God, with the veil taken off, the Spirit of God transforms us! God does it in His time. We must please Him. We need only be still. We need to woo the Spirit everyday of our lives!
16And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever—John 14:16
The Comforter will teach us all things, and bring everything to remembrance. Come and enjoy the beautiful presence of Jesus!
4 Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4
If we delight in the Lord, He will give us the desires of our heart!
31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles;they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31
We need to do warfare.
5We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5
The weapon of warfare is God’s word. It brings our imagination and subjects it to the obedience of Christ! Ask Jesus to be our Captain! There are 2 kingdoms. We must belong to the right one!
8And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 2 Corinthians 9:8
The joy of the Lord is our strength! We are equipped by God’s grace for every good work!
12Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. Matthew 5:12
Blessed are those who are persecuted. We must learn to say “I love Jesus more than all these things!”
Love God and love your neighbor! In Eden, fear came into the world with sin. Perfect love drives out all fear.
Jesus gave His life for the church! Husbands and wives must love each other deeply and cherish time together! Husbands must care for the spiritual needs of his wife. Families must establish family altar, a family devotion in their homes! Pray together, hold hands and pray. Have fellowship in care groups. A strong church is based on strong families.
You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you. Isaiah 26:3
Jesus will give us perfect peace! He said “My peace I give to you”.
The candlestick refers to the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Revelation.
The early church devoted themselves to teaching, preaching, breaking of bread and prayer. The Holy Spirit came suddenly! It is God’s timing.
Pastor Ronnie’s 6 foundations for a successful life group:-
-          Preach the Word
-          Spend time to Pray
-          Be generous
-          Give testimonies
-          Be caring:-spiritually & physically
A generous man will prosper;he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed. Proverbs 11:25
He who refreshes others will he himself be refreshed!
God bless,
Jason
