Four dreams and a star.
In our family reading on Matthew Chapter 2, a short commentary in my Bible focused on how our creative God uses different ways to bring different messages to different people. The three Magi from the east were shown a star showing he who was born king of the Jews and later they were warned in a dream not to inform Herod where the baby Jesus was. The shepherds in the field saw an angelic host in the skies, and Joseph was given specific instruction three times in dreams.
I believe that many times throughout the day, sometimes directly through his Word, a statement by a friend or even a television show, God speaks to us in many different ways, though we may not perceive it. “For God does speak—now one way, now another— though man may not perceive it. Job 33:14”
However, we would do well to pray that God to open our eyes and our heart to be sensitive towards what He is saying to us, be it in a gentle whisper or a powerful storm.
8The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit." John 3:8
God bless,
Jason
